This is education, not advice

The information here is written for the general reader and does not replace a personal medical consultation. It cannot tell you whether laser hair removal is appropriate for your hair, your skin, your health or your circumstances.

No outcome is guaranteed

No treatment can be guaranteed. How much the density of hair falls, how long that lasts and how your skin settles after each session vary between individuals, and no clinician can promise a particular result. Hair response is judged across a course of months rather than after one session.

The limits and the risks are real

A course takes months, does not clear an area for good, and leaves fine hair in many cases. Burns and blistering occur, treated skin can darken or lighten, folliculitis and infection can follow a session, and finer hair can be stimulated to grow in a treated area. Hair with a hormonal cause returns regardless of how well the sessions were done.

What grows back is not reversible

Hair that returns after treatment usually returns finer, and that change cannot be undone. Skin that has lost pigment over a treated area may not match the skin around it again. These are reasons to have the assessment before the course rather than after it.
